Unified Ad Server User Guide
Unified Ad Server helps you optimize your ad server operations for maximum viewing and revenue. Unified Ad Server allows you to manage your ad server's inventory, orders, and administration through an interactive interface where you can review, edit, and create all ad data.
Ad Units represent monetizable inventory displayed on web pages, mobile apps and video players. Each ad unit specifies inventory attributes, such as size, creative types, and page location. Unified Ad Server generates an ad tag code that uniquely identifies the ad. When you create an ad unit, you can specify size, video ad attributes, native ad attributes, and general details such as refresh rates and frequency caps.
Ad Unit Groups are sets of ad units bundled together to create a logical collection of specific ad units, which can be selected when targeting a line item.
Orders are a group of related ad-campaign line items for a specific buyer. An order is comprised of one or more line items for an advertising campaign.
Line Items can specify segments of an ad campaign. Each line item can target particular market segments by specifying demographics and managing the time duration, frames, geographic locations, and display devices for impressions.
Creatives are associated with line items of a campaign and represent the 'ad' that will be shown. Ad types include native ads, images, video, text, rich media, and other formats.
The PubMatic administrator allocates permission to functional areas by defining roles for users and teams. Permissions authorize roles, teams, and users to view and edit account information. Administrators define labels for inventory targeting, maintain contact information, and defines custom parameters for targeting. Unified Ad Server manages your data security through role-based access.
Analytic reports let you drill down on many combinations of ad-related quantitative data. Use these reports to compare aspects of ad campaigns and view data to help you make informed decisions.
